EXT. HOME OF SAMANTHA PAVAK - HOLSTON, PA - FRIDAY MORNING
We open up outside of the home of SAMANTHA PAVAK. A Dodge Durango is parked out front. It belongs to Wrestletown GM BOBBY MCVEIGH.
Bobby is heading down the walkway from Samantha's house toward his truck, carrying her suitcase. She walks by his side.
BOBBY
What do you have in here? Rocks? We're
gonna be gone for a night-- two at most.

SAMANTHA
Well what am I supposed to know, whether
we were gonna be gone for a night or a
week, or where we're even going for that
matter. You haven't told me anything.

Bobby enters the driver's side of the car; Samantha enters the passenger side.
CUT TO:
INT. DODGE DURANGO (PARKED) - CONTINUOUS
Bobby, seated behind the wheel, lets out a sigh and looks to his faithful assistant seated beside him.
Samantha can see that Bobby is having a moment of panic-- he is a man in over his head.
Chris is behind the counter, his arms on the counter top, supporting the weight of his head that rests in his hands as he peers upon his two unsuspected visitors on the other side of the counter-- Bobby Mcveigh and Samantha Pavak.
Bobby is looking a little uneasy-- clearly out of his element. He shoots a look of discomfort at Samantha.
Samantha looks sheepishly at Bobby. She shrugs.
Bobby is confounded by the man who stands before him. He turns to Samantha.
Bobby and Samantha look at each other, and then back to Chris.
Chris smiles. He rubs his hands together.
Bobby considers it, gives a nod.
Bobby and Samantha look at each other.

BOBBY
The truth is, I have no idea where we're going. I
know we need to some talent-- something beyond the
local talent-- some talent with experience on the
professional stage. But I don't knew where to look. I
don't know this sport. It's like I told the mayor when he
wanted me to take this gig-- pro wrestling has never been my thing.

SAMANTHA
Drive.
BOBBY
Where we going?
SAMANTHA
Take us into town-- I know a
guy. Pro wrestling is his thing.

CUT TO:
INT. THE WATCHER COMIC & GAMES - CONTINUOUSWe are now inside of the Comic & Game shop of CHRIS STIPES on Main Street in Holston. The store is an absolute shrine to Geek Culture: superheroes and role playing dice and trading cards and apparel and lots and lots of comic books.
BOBBY
What are we doing here again?
CHRIS
What you're doing here, Bobby, is seeking guidance.
You see, Samantha here knows what's down-- she
knows that when it comes to mat wrestling, you
may be the go to guy; but when it comes to
wrestling on a professional level, I am the man.

SAMANTHA
He's right.
CHRIS
You see, I have been telling people for ages that one
day pro wrestling would be coming to Holston-- it was
the logical extension of the fanaticism that this town has
for combat sports-- and now that day is here. And if my
research is correct-- and it is-- you're in a jam now, aren't you?

BOBBY
We don't have the talent.
CHRIS
Bobby, no, you have the talent. You have plenty of
home grown talent. What you lack is the name brand
recognition. Where's your Dom Harter? Where's your
Kyle Cross? Where's your Madman Szalinski?

I don't even know where to look.
CHRIS
Ah hah, but that Clayton Cobb, that smarmy prick, he does.
He's got his finger to the pulse. He's got the connections.
And you're in danger of losing your grip on this company to
an outsider, which will spell doom for this town. Am I warm?

Bobby is confounded by the man who stands before him. He turns to Samantha.
BOBBY
How does this guy know--
CHRIS
The Watcher knows everything, Bobby.
I like you, and I want to see you succeed,
so I'm gonna give you a little advice, but
you have to do something for me.

SAMANTHA
What's that?
CHRIS
Tickets. Season tickets, two tickets, every
show, front row, starting with March 30th.

Bobby and Samantha look at each other, and then back to Chris.
SAMANTHA
Done.
CHRIS
Alright, let's talk shop. Clayton Cobb's got Marty
Sunshine, which means he's got Priscilla Price and
Carter Hayes. Those are two nice acquisitions by
Cobb, who is turning out to be quite the arch nemesis for you.

BOBBY
He's a glorified blowhole is what he is, and a pain in my ass.
CHRIS
Most arch-nemesis are. Think about what
the Joker is to Batman, Professor Zoom
is to the Flash, Braniac is to Superman.

SAMANTHA
Braniac isn't Superman's arch nemesis--- Bizarro is.
BOBBY
You see, I thought it would be Lex Luthor.
Chris is looking at the two comic book rookies before him with utter contempt.
CHRIS
No, no, children, please-- Brainiac is Superman's arch
enemy. Unlike his other enemies, Brainiac has zero
capacity for goodness-- the polar opposite of Superman.

CHRIS
Clayton Cobb is your arch nemesis. You
need to fight fire with fire, and counter
his acquisitions with their counterparts.

BOBBY
Well who is that? I don't know
anything about pro wrestling rivalries.

CHRIS
Bobby, I cannot make everything too easy
for you. You've gotta do some of your own
homework. Just know this-- Marty Sunshine,
he's a "bad man," so what's the best way to
counter to a bad man? There is your answer.

Bobby and Samantha look at each other.
CHRIS
Now if you will excuse me, I have an eleven o'clock
conference call with IDW Publishing. I am demanding
answers as to how they can kill off Donatello .
in Carter Hayes, which raises a point. When
it comes to Carter Hayes, there is one dream
match that every pro wrestling fan and every
amateur wrestling fan can agree upon. to the
table. If you can make that match happen, you
will have many wrestling diehards thanking you.

Chris retreats from the counter and moves toward the door leading to the back room. Before exiting, he turns back to his guests one last time.
But let me leave you with this-- Cobb brought CHRIS
in Carter Hayes, which raises a point. When
it comes to Carter Hayes, there is one dream

Chris disappears into the back.
