Brief Character Overview: Already dubbed by Jeanne Ziggler of Northern New Jersey's The Bergen Record as "The second coming of Carter Hayes," C.J. Wheeler is a handful. A gifted amateur wrestler and skateboarder with natural physical talent, Wheeler is also a pothead that lacks focus, respect for authority, direction, discipline, and motivation-- omissions that have made him his own worst enemy. His antics have landed him in trouble with the law on numerous occasions, albeit for petty charges.
When his latest indiscretions get him into hot water with the court, the Honorable Melvin Dupont calls in a favor from longtime colleague Mort Goodman, giving Wheeler a final chance to avoid jail time by committing himself to Goodman's supervision. Mort, in turn, overwhelmed by his ongoing representation of Priscilla Price in her trial for attempted murder, turns the management of C.J. Wheeler's career over to his longtime protege, Carter Hayes, who finds himself in over his head trying to manage an even more reckless version of his former self.
