What draws people to wrestling to begin with, professionally that is? Surely it varies from person to person, some go for the glitz, the glamour, some for a bite at the apple called fame, some for money or adoration, others because they just love the sport. Mariposa hasn't been the most forthcoming with her reasoning, other than the belief that Wrestletown was lacking in that lucha libre style, that bit of flair that makes companies pop. A place so inundated with wrestling is certainly a place for one like Mariposa, who so has wrestling in her blood. Acceptance. Acceptance is crucial, and that is harder than one might thing, especially with Mariposa. However, ask Mariposa and chances are, after a smile of consideration, two words will be heard before away she dashes: "Viva Wrestletown!"

Mariposa might seem like someone you can't trust at a first glance; after all, she's always seen wearing a mask and rarely, if ever, does she talk about herself when asked. However, though she is certainly one that merits a bit of pause due to an air of mystery about her (and honestly, who isn't just a wee bit mysterious?) she's also someone that clearly knows what she is doing and can be downright sociable under the right conditions. Though hidden behind a mask, thus concealing her identity, it always seems as if Mariposa is smirking like she knows something others don't. Perhaps it's just a distraction tactic, an attempt to play mental tic tac toe with an opponent, or maybe she's just really, really happy. She's certainly not telling.
One thing Mariposa is not is a 'bad' person, though of course that varies on one's definition of bad. Her actions inside the ring (and perhaps even outside) and in front of cameras are rather morally positive, to the point where Mariposa will just as likely turn the other cheek when insulted rather than get riled up. She has to have a breaking point, though, yes? After all, who doesn't.
Provide Brief Commentary Regarding Your Wrestler's Views on:
(1) Authority / Wrestletown Management: It is better to be on their good sides than constantly doing battle with them. Mariposa believe that people should be allowed to air their grievances without fear of retribution while also respecting that the chain of command has to sometimes make hard choices. Such is life. She will not seek to anger those who control her fate. And her paycheck.
(2) Other Wrestlers: A difficult question. Some are reprehensible but then she doesn't begrudge them for that. People are complex. That they all seemingly share a common interest should be enough to facilitate conversation and understanding, but again: people are complex. She will certainly not antagonize them, not when they have so much in common.
(3) The Sport in General: Apasionado. Passionate.
(4) The Fans in General: While she doesn't cater to them specifically, she doesn't go for the quick and easy placating of fans, she does wish to be in their good graces. Fans are the life blood and she is often in need of a transfusion.
(5) The Townies of Holston: She doesn't have much to say about them. Perhaps once she gets to know them more...perhaps when not wearing the mask, she'll have more to say.

Wrestling Style: Quick Strikes and throws mixed with high flying spectacle.
In-Ring Strengths: Mariposa is quite agile which is her greatest asset and the cornerstone of her offense. She can move around the ring on foot and in the air. She's got a good sense of presence in a match, so she doesn't get disoriented easily.
In-Ring Flaws: Because she's all about quick, agile moves she doesn't have a whole lot of lasting power, so the real drag out matches will bite her in the end. Her lack of great physical strength means she can't easily get her hands around bigger, stronger opponents.
In-Ring Attitude: What is your character's attitude/approach generally speaking? Mariposa, when she isn't out to win the match, is about performing well and having fun while adhering to her own sense of morals. She'll never cheat and always go for clean wins, even going so far as to not accept count outs or disqualifications as legitimate methods of winning, if she goes outside with her Suicida she'll even attempt to bring her opponent back into the ring just to go for the pin.
BIOGRAPHY
Mariposa comes from Mexico and with her comes a certain style, a certain flair, that so excites the population; unless, of course, the population is purists. Mariposa fancies herself a luchadora and she wears the mask and the hispanic pride to boot. Her mask might as well be her natural face, she's never seen without it on whenever she is 'on', which of course is quite often. She doesn't seem to mind; wear a mask long enough and it just becomes your face.
As far as masks go, Mariposa doesn't like to talk about her life in Mexico or personal details in general. What's known about her is that she is from Mexico City, she wears a lot of blue outfits, and she lives with a woman named Salome. There's secrets abound, but answers won't come from Mariposa's lips. Inquisitive minds might take to the internet, only to be greeted with information about butterflies. Mariposa did wrestle and perform in Mexico, that much is known, but little else, and her arrival in Holston seems to be more than just for the purpose of competing in Wrestletown, though she's certainly there for that as well. Just not exclusively.
