What a day. In his time running The Varsity Club Training Facility, Colton Woods has seen many athletes come and go. Some of the best a brightest wrestlers to ever step on a mat in Holston and the surrounding communities put in their time inside the Varsity Club. However, as far as professional talent, this was a special day for the facility, and for Woods as well. Jack Evans was a true veteran of the game, and a workhorse inside the gym.
Woods, who was one of the very few local talents that had tried his hand in the sport on a professional level, was himself a bit star struck when Evans stepped into his gym. This is not to say that Evans was a household name; but Evans had an appeal to the true fans of the sport. Evan's appeal was the difference between the appeal of a movie star and an actor. With Evans, there was no flash-- it was all substance-- and to Colton, that's what this sport should be all about.
If only his day could have ended on that high note.
INT. THE VARSITY CLUB TRAINING FACILITY - AFTERNOON
It's the same gym where we last left off, only in the late afternoon, the facilities are now crowded with the regulars. COLTON WOODS is doing his best to drown out the sound behind him, as he takes it to one of the heavy bags, a combination of kicks and punches, with occasional sprawls sprinkled in, training both offense and defense.
Colton is doing a damn good job drowning out all of the chatter around him-- that is, until something odd catches his attention from the television screen hanging on the far wall. ON THE SCREEN, there is a local news reporter standing outside, addressing the camera.
What is odd to Colton, however, is that he recognizes the background: it is right outside of his gym.
Colton moves from the bags, and closer to the television set. He's trying to listen, but the noise of those around him is drowning out the reporter on the television.
Colton hones in on the television screen. Sure enough, local reporter KATIE CHANG is standing on Main Street, right across the street from The Varsity Club. On the bottom of the screen, there is a caption. It reads:
Colton squints with anger. He does not like what he sees.
The screen on the television pans back and sure enough, MARTY SUNSHINE, ESQ., comes into frame, standing beside Katie Chang.
Colton storms off.
EXT. THE VARSITY CLUB TRAINING FACILITY - CONTINUOUS
Colton Woods emerges from the front doors of the Varsity Club training facility, and he looks pissed. We see Marty Sunshine standing beside Katie Chang, both facing a cameraman, across the street.
Colton rushes across Main Street, almost getting taken out by a car in his tunnel vision, as he moves in on the interview.
Marty is oblivious to Colton's presence-- too caught up in trying to sell his new business.
Marty's attention is diverted away from the camera, to the heckling voice.
At this point, Colton and Marty are close enough to be sharing the frame of the shot, as Katie Cheng directs the cameraman to keep filming. Things are getting heated.
Marty pushes Colton, who doesn't budge.
Colton gives a chuckle, turns slightly, and then turns back toward Marty, grabbing hold of him with two handfuls of collar.
Suddenly, a large, bearded man, he looks Russian, perhaps Belarusian, pops into the screen, tackling Colton, causing him to release Marty. This man is former Metro:PRO competitor and Marty Sunshine-protege VLADIMIR VISHNEVSKY.
Colton Woods and Vladimir Vishnevsky are rolling around on the grass in front of the vacant building that will seemingly soon become Metropolitan Fitness. The camera's still rolling on the action, and Katie Cheng is going wild with excitement trying to narrate what is taking place into the camera.
A police car pulls up to the scene. The sirens are flickering, but the two men wrestling on the ground are undeterred. The officer behind the wheel sounds off on the siren, which jolts our two combatants into releasing their holds on one another. Reluctantly, the two mend rise to their feet.
Officer ED HOOD steps out of the squad car, sizing up the scene, letting out a deep sigh. The circus has come to town.

Metropolitan Fitness is, of course, the name
of the fitness chain owned and run by former

wrestler, "Metropolitan Mistress" Priscilla
Price, and her manager, New Jersey Divorce

fifth Metropolitan Fitness to open nationwide,
with three other locations already in New
